From the great mind of Ridley Scott, and with incredible acting from Sigourney Weaver, the Alien franchise started off with a lot of promise. In Paul's opinion, the sequel Aliens directed by James Cameron was even better! But with Alien 3, Alien: Resurrection, Alien vs. Predator, Prometheus, and Alien: Covenant, the movies just didn't have the same magic. Join Paul's Ego as he dissects what went great and what went wrong in this iconic horror / science fiction series of films. What's the worst Alien movie? Find out in this thorough retrospective.

PITCH WARS! - Freddy and Jason Movies!
Pretty annoyed that you neither moved this to your other channel nor continued it.
I thought the movie was pretty cool.
Being a lifelong fan of the franchise, I actually like Alien 4. It’s a horrible movie, don’t get me wrong, but when it came out I was 11 and it was awesome back then. So it holds a special place in my heart.
I thought the puppets for the main characters looked great personally
Big Trouble in Little China is my favorite movie, Aliens is my second favorite movie.
I am a writer, and this motivates me to write a novel on Hellraiser to finally give Pinhead a good story that he deserves.
Hellraiser was brilliant and then they made a movie based on it. The movie was good. So then they decided to take loads of movie laxatives and spray liquid crap all over the screen for the next few decades while missing the whole point of the story and the concepts it presented.
Yes...there are mormons in Germany. I have seen them many times during the summer.
All of it is dead on right down to your gritty assessment. Of course it's cheap shit! Of course the situations and dialogues are uncomfortable and you're pissed off at where the genre has gone... It has stupid twists and things that don't make sense....THAT'S THE GRIND HOUSE ART FORM! What is it all about? !!!! SUFFERING !!!! ..... And you will and you will love it...... This is a franchise in hell and you will forever suffer with disappointment and anticipation. Pain is merely a currency now. You will never be released. Your fascination will never cease.
Hellraiser: Puff Pastry Telescope
I never really liked the series, really not a big fan of horror movies.. but this one seems like quite the stinker.
I was hoping that instead of the puzzle box, pinhead would develop an app.
The return?
You had me at man boobs 😮
Where is the science in the recent Alien movies and TV show? It is all about philosophy, I don't care about. I am not watching Ted talk. I want to see Aliens!
Pretty funny!!! 😂
Y’all gotta bring back this series I love it sm!!!
If they would've somehow made the whole Auditor- Assessor- Jury thing into an actual hellish judgment instead of a weird Cenobite plot, maybe?
if i remember right this was originally not supposed to be a hellraiser movies but because of contract issue they had to make it a hellraiser movie
Okay can perfect bane or the dude from v for vendetta you guy from the matrix? I bet I can master this guys voice the original pinhead. Use one of those new masks they have and I’ll sound like and look like the real thing. I’ll go to my doctors like that. And guy the weinsteins are behind these films. I’ll just redo them I’m already an actual streamer and have a platform.
Isn't this channel demonetized? I think thats the reason why its dead af.
So pretty much they get sinners by doing the you won a car stings but for no real reason to go.
Are you related to the Amazing Atheist? You sure sound like him.
8:58 I think the girl turned them human
:)
ur so cynical.
Resurrection broke me. The scene where... Whatever you call it... Kills the queen alien was a downright subversion of the worst kind. It was just like the scene in the much later Jurassic Park 3 where the Spinosaurus effortlessly kills the T-Rex. Which is to say it was like Biff trying to come up with a real zinger but not realizing he just made himself sound like a complete idiot. And ... Yet... I've come to appreciate it as much as one can appreciate mindless entertainment. It helps to be at least at a blood alcohol content of .08 before starting the movie. No one should be allowed to watch this movie if they are legally sober enough to operate a motor vehicle. Given those paramagnetic, I have found Alien: Resurrection to be about on par with the other generic, poorly made junk in it's category of it's time. That all said, I still rank this higher than AVP, the AVP sequel, or Covenant. Yep. That's right. Because this one at least manages to occasionally cross into "so-bad-it's-good" territory. And other times manages to make me forget how embarrassed I am to be watching it. Briefly crossing into what, with some better execution could just maybe have broken through to guilty pleasure status. AVP was just irredeemably bad. Covenant was trying so hard to be deep that it ended up unentertaining, confused, and ineffective. And I really WANTED to like Prometheus... Wanted and TRIED. But I couldn't do it. We wanted a film to take us back to the original films and instead we got a ponderous mishmash of what an Alien vs 2001 crossover movie might feel like.
For me, Jurassic Park was the end of an era. It was a big box office smash hit, with revolutionary effects and was actually a great movie. Good writing, fantastic score, scenes that were designed to be both exciting and memorable. Great characters. All the big names of 80s adventure movies show up: not just Spielberg, but Stan Winston. It was the last big event film that really delivered. It followed in the footsteps of Raiders, E. T., Gremlins and so many others. But was a family event at that, and yet it had moments of intensity that didn't gloss over the seriousness of the story. The closest thing we got to this afterwards was Independence Day, a movie that had a lot more weaknesses and hasn't held up that well. Jurassic Park was special, and was the cap stone to my childhood and that of many others. Cinema just wasn't the same after
I just cant help thinking of that scene in the goonies where Chunk starts telling his sins
I wish you would come back, bro. Your reviews are awesome.
Bald Paul is so jarring lmao
So... WTF happened to the 2022 reboot?
Damn, I miss you guys on this channel.
I'm rewatching this after Paul mentioned a potential comeback on the nuntlet
Last week I was looking for this video like crazy and it never showed up and now its recommended to me?
I think the house scene etc. is quite good with the asessor etc. we are talking about hell/demons it doesnt have to make sense
Bro you missed the point of covenant. 1.) It's a Noah's ark story that's why there's a bunch of couples that go 2 by 2. David is the creator and the antagonist. 3.) remember David was to communicate with the space jockey and understand what the plan was suppose to happen to humanity. That's why he killed the space jockey civilization 4.) this gives David the chance to be the creator by killing shaw and using her reproductive system to creator he's perfect organism. Shaw was unable to reproduce until the black ooze.5.) in the end David wins by saving 2 embryos and still having a vast amount of couples / guinea pigs to make them his test subjects. The question is what will happen next in terms of David, the organism, and the space jockey of any, and how finally we get the crash landing on L.V. 426. How did the space jockey get there?
I think they did a great job in passing on the torch, they have had some other ones that were just completely off the mark, the one that took place in Mexico and was like found footage and the other one with the man- woman playing pinhead. They added interesting elements to the story while keeping it tight like the first movie. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of creativity or imagination on the auditor
Man you’re funny af 😂😂😂😂
I know they watched foodfight! But didn't know they watched this garbage
The brand new hellraiser is way way better than this crap lol love your videos bro I also come here every so often to laugh my ass off
The fourth one was in the theatre. I loved it. Not perfect but good.
I don't think anyone could come up with any new ideas and ask for Hollywood well they seem to have fallen off a cliff when it comes to coming up with new stories about things
But would you bang those hot cenobite chicks? , that’s the lasting takeaway from this masterpiece.
It would've hit harder if God made Pinhead work at Target.
The evil wizard was played by John LaZar, who also played the bad guy in Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (Roger Eberts first and only writing credit in film). James Rolfe reviewed the whole series, those were fun videos. The theme song of this movie lives rent free in my head and pops out every now n then.
I know we have similar tastes in some ways because of your blade runner 2049 review, however....I actually liked this movie. Now that you mention it, of course vampires would change the world more, they'd be underground, although.... would much more change? Humans mostly require food and water, yet we ended up with hyper specialised jobs where we sit at computers most of the day doing something completely unrelated to meeting those base needs, we strayed so far from our nature just for the extra services.... healthcare that makes you less well, entertainment designed to numb you etc. Everyone thinks they would be bolder if they were vampires but I doubt it, we're already the most evolved predator on earth and we mostly live like cowards watching people do things on a screen - would vampirism change that? Anyway, I'd give this film a solid 4 out of 10.
Paul, come back. We need your vids theyre the sheit!
The Auditor isn’t a Cenobyte though…..right?
